Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh
It is a drama time for 4 Sastera 1 with low both proficiency and competencies in English (reading, listening, speaking and writing). Before this in 4 Teknikal class, I could give them a drama script of Romeo and Juliet. They could read it fluently but for 4 Sastera 1, I know, the same method is not the right choice. I tried to google for a short drama script for them. Unfortunately, I couldn't find one that suitable for them. So, I made one....... it is short and simple. Easy for them to read, pronounce and understand the text.
here it is:
It is 1.10pm in the afternoon. Most of the students go back home. Mary is searching for something after she heard something meowing. She believes that it is the sound of a kitten. Anna has just finished her homework and wants to go back too. Then she saw Mary.Anna : Hi (smiling to Mary)Mary : Oh, hi! (smiling back to Anna) What are you doing here?Anna : I am just finish doing my homework. What about you? What are you doing here?Mary : I heard something just now. Sounds like a kitten is in trouble.Anna : Really? Can I help you to find it?Mary : Yes, sure! Thank you.(While Anna and Mary searching for the kitten)David : Look at them, what are they doing? (referring to Mary and Anna)Jacob : I do not know. I think we should to and ask. Maybe they need a help.David : okay. Let’s go!(Jacob and David go to Mary and Anna)Jacob : Excuse me, what are you doing?David : Looking for something or someone?Mary : I am looking for a kitten.Anna : She said that she heard something.Jacob : Oh, okay. Do you need a help?Mary : Yes, sure.(Mary, Anna, Jacob and David try to find the kitten)David : Hey! Guys! Look what I have found! (shouting)Anna : What? What is it?! (Running to David)Mary : Did you find it?! (Running to David)Jacob : Really? For real? (Running to David)
It is easy for me to explain as well. Actually, this is an introduction about drama to them that is why I want a short and simple, to catch their interest in drama. Later, I will let expose to them about Gulp and Gasp.
